Youtube is the new MTV

Ok simply put one of the most popular genres of video on youtube is… music. It could probably be the most popular genre actually with only comedy videos to compare to it…. (hmmm comedy vs music? The ultimate battle of entertainment starring musilla and comelian).

So… The good news is that it is really easy to make Music videos. There are a lots of ways to do this and a lot of strategies for making your music videos popular. You can use popular songs and just redo the video or you can make fun of other videos.

For those of us who are too shy to make a video or who do not have any skill. If you can not sing you can lip sync a song or even just add still pictures to a song. I’ve listed some funny songs that could use new visuals.

The song, “Kill a Kitten” by Stephen Lynch. You will laugh and groan and get some good hate comments.

Older Hard rock definitely needs some new visual so how about a little AC DC like Dirty Deeds.

The song Barbie Girl could have a hilarious video either alluring or done with dolls.

The Lonely Island song about J**z pants is already hilarious. But a knock off done right would get some good views.

We Swear We’re Not Gay by Unknown is a great example.

Imagine how much fun you could have with I’m An Asshole by Dennis Larry.

This was a tiny list but that gives you the idea. I am sure you can come up with a million more or more importantly that 1 key song that speaks to your heart.

You can do screen captures with Jing to make any kind of music video you want. If just flat images to illustrate your song they will need to flash pretty quickly to keep it interesting. Just don’t make them so fast you can’t see them.
