When a new game in the popular Diablo series was announced, it was no surprise that it fast became one of the most anticipated games in ages. Though the developers made no mention of the Diablo 3 release date, fans around the world began to speculate, as had been the case since Diablo 2, which was released in 2000, reached its peak.
The original Diablo had an official release in the first week of 1997, and with revolutionary ideas at the time, Blizzard’s dark fantasy role playing game was almost immediately successful. Computer games immediately became obsessed with Sanctuary, the world in which the games are set, and many of the devices used in that original game have become common tools of the trade in other games since.
It was the real-time action opposed to the more common turn-based fighting that made it unique at the time, and also the reason it was such a popular multiplayer title. The 2000 sequel took it even further and for many years Diablo 2 was one of the most popular online games.
The original game came out on PC and a few months later, a Mac version followed. In 1998 there was a Playstation release of it though without any online features. The sequel didn’t have a console release, and although there has been talk of releasing it on other platforms, at this point Diablo 3 has only been mentioned for the PC and Mac.
Both of the earlier releases sold millions of copies, won numerous awards and were critically acclaimed, so there is no real surprise that the anticipation for the third game is so overwhelming. There have been hundreds of stories on news websites and blogs ever since it was announced in 2008 that the game was in development.
One of the other reasons that people cannot wait for the Diablo 3 release date, is of course because of the other games Blizzard has created. Apart from this record-breaking series, they are also responsible for the Warcraft and Starcraft series. Last year they released Starcraft 2, almost twelve years after the original, to critical acclaim, while the Warcraft series expanded into the extremely popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), World of Warcraft, which has over 12 million users, and currently has the most subscribers of any online game in the world.

After eight lengthy and agonizing years of patient waiting, Blizzard has finally declared the latest installment in the Diablo series. Furthermore, despite the non-existence of a playable demo version at present, a beta testing version might eventually be released on Battlenet in the near future. Freezer papers are grease proof materials with waxy finishes on one side. They are extremely useful kitchen products and are typically used to wrap foods like meat before they’re put inside freezers.
