How Can I Show Love For Mother Earth?

The ecological crisis is real. These are seriously being discussed. No doubt most of this is a result of human interventions. There are massive oil spills as in Alaska by Exxon in 1989. Toxic wastes from industries are polluting the rivers and ground water. The sea levels are increasing, many islands as Maldives are expecting to go under the sea and so are many islands in the Pacific region. The depletion of ozone layer is permitting the harmful radiation from the sun to reach the earth. This is the result of the emission of green house gases. Global warming is heating up the earth. Many species are getting extinct from desertification and deforestation. Deforestation in the mountains is leading to devastating floods in the plains. Between 17,000 and 100,000 species are reportedly becoming extinct every year. The last 50 years have seen most of the forests estimated at seven million square kilometers have vanished. Just twenty percent of the original forests still remain.

Science teaches us that species are dependent on each other. The species also depend on the non-living things in their habitat. The species could be micro-organism, plants, and animals. The continued inter-dependence between them is the key to their survival. Human beings cannot recreate ecosystems. Scientists agree that it is not humanly possible. The only way is to let the ecosystem survive for species survival. The importance of conservation of nature stems from this realization. This is also the reason that some areas are identified for conservation. But at the same time, the demand for growth and development threaten conservation.

Appreciation of nature and natural reserves in a widespread manner, it is hoped, will ultimately triumph and bear fruits. One way to promote this is by encouraging responsible eco-tourism. A living experience through camping in such sites requires the use of camping tent. You have to choose the tent from amongst a wide variety of tents. Kelty Green River 4 person tent can also be utilized as a base camp tent. It can house four persons. There are tents that easily accommodates up to ten people. The tents also have different features such as in its ability to withstand the winds, rain and the cold.

Most of all the visitors are to be sensitive and aware to leave nature alone as well as respect the local cultures. The important task is to be appreciative about nature. It is important to make sure that we realize that nature does not belong to us, but rather we belong to nature. The relationship with nature is a relationship of the children to their mother.

Camping is the best to understand and appreciate the essence of nature. If you decide to do so, always be responsible of your actions.

Using Energy Alternatives And Helping The Earth

There’s no denying it. You have only yourself to blame for the current environmental state of our earth. Just to be clear, you contributed to the neglect and dilapidation of this environment.

Maybe you deny this, well, what about all the bottles you threw out, or the glass that you didn’t drop at the recycling depot, or even just the light bulb you forgot to turn off?

The fact is, unless you’ve been living like a hermit, holed up in the woods and surviving on cold scraps of meat and vegetables, then you are part of the problem. It is not too late, though, in fact, now is the best time for you to make an effort.

The simplest thing to begin with is saving electricity by unplugging your appliances when you’re not using them. Believe it or not, when appliances are left plugged in they remain in a standby mode and continue to consume electricity. Unplugging will save energy for the earth and save money for you.

Another thing to do is stop using those plastic straws. Did you ever wonder what happened to them once you had finished with them? They certainly are being put in anyone else’s drink. They go straight into the trash.

Probably the most pass, yet the most effective, is to follow the three Rs - reuse, reduce and recycle. Reuse your water bottles, reduce your energy consumption and recycle paper. There are other items where you can apply the three R method but these are the most common.

You can bring your new green lifestyle to your work office as well by recycling any and all unneeded paper products. Set up a workplace policy to get everyone to contribute.

These are only a few of countless ways to help bring restoration to the earth. Like these suggestions, most of them are quite simple. Be aware of the effects of unnatural climate changes and the dire need for cleaner drinking water around the world, and maintain your responsibility to do your part.
